Behind Kip and Meredith Frey’s house, a wraparound deck overlooks a shaded lawn bordered by roses and offering views of the golf course beyond. A gentle waterfall feeds a small stone-edged pool, while a path leads to an impressive vegetable garden – the only one on the tour – featuring unique geometric beds. The tree house, pool house, and playground areas all spell family fun and encourage outdoor living.

Kip Frey:
"Most of the current design has evolved as a very casual, informal place for my boys and me to experiment. There are many places that reflect ideas gone wrong and good thoughts abandoned due to other priorities. Mostly it's a series of places for us to dig in the dirt. We are most passionate about our vegetable garden and fruit trees. Please don't be put off by the seeming lack of formality – we like it that way. We have a few rules: first, we respect trees and do everything in our power to maintain them. Second, we will try to plant anything at least once. Third, we plant first, and ponder second. When we stop having fun, we move on."
